10-Minute Apple Puff Pastry Dessert

Ingredients:

  • 500g puff pastry (store-bought or homemade)

  • 3 apples, peeled and grated

  • 50g sugar

  • 5g (about 1 tsp) cinnamon

  • 1 egg (for brushing)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the filling:
Peel and grate the 3 apples into a medium bowl.
Mix in the sugar and cinnamon until evenly combined.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry:
Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the pastry into a rectangle (if not pre-rolled).

  3. Add filling:
Spread the apple mixture evenly over half of the puff pastry.

  4. Fold and seal:
Fold the pastry over the filling like a turnover or cut into strips and twist (your choice!). Press the edges to seal if doing turnovers.

  5. Brush with egg wash:
Beat the egg and brush it over the top of the pastry for a golden finish.

  6. Bake:
Place on a parchment-lined tray and bake at 200°C (390°F) for about 15–20 minutes, or until golden and puffy.
