We couldn’t get enough of my mom’s sweet potato pies.
What’s in it?
You’ll need one pie crust and two big, cooked sweet potatoes.
1/4 cup of melted butter
3/4 cup of sugar
two eggs
add 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg, or more or less according to preference
quarter of a teaspoon of salt
Whole wheat flour, 2 tablespoons
a teaspoon of vanilla essence
two tablespoons of sour cream?
1/2 cup of animal milk
DIRECTIONS
2. Mash cooked sweet potatoes in a medium bowl until smooth. 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.Incorporate sugar and butter into the mixture. Gradually beat in the eggs. Combine the nuts, salt, and milk. Add sour cream, vanilla extract, and flour, and mix well.
Third, fill the pie crust with the filling. To make sure the knife is clean, bake it in the middle of the oven for 60 to 65 minutes. Bring to room temperature before serving.
