Easy Cauliflower Pizza Crust

A healthy and delicious alternative to traditional pizza crust—crispy, cheesy, and perfect for your favorite toppings!

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head of cauliflower, riced (about 4 cups)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Parchment paper (for baking)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Cauliflower

  1. Rice the Cauliflower
    • Cut the cauliflower into florets and pulse in a food processor until it resembles rice.
  2. Cook the Cauliflower
    • Microwave the riced cauliflower for 4-5 minutes until soft. Let cool slightly, then place it in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible. This step ensures a crisp crust.

Step 2: Make the Dough

  1. Combine Ingredients
    • In a large bowl, mix the cauliflower, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt until well combined.
  2. Form the Crust
    • Line a baking sheet or pizza stone with parchment paper. Spread the cauliflower mixture into a circle or rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.

Step 3: Bake the Crust

  1. Bake
    • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake the crust for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and firm.

Step 4: Add Toppings

  1. Top and Bake Again
    • Remove the crust from the oven, add your favorite pizza toppings, and return to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Tips

  • Make It Crispy: Ensure you squeeze out all the moisture from the cauliflower for a firmer crust.
  • Cheese-Free Option: Substitute cheese with almond flour for a paleo-friendly version.
  • Storage: Pre-baked crusts can be frozen and topped later for a quick meal.
