Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 2 (3.4 oz) boxes of instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 (8 oz) container of whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 box graham crackers (about 15 oz)

For the Chocolate Topping:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Vanilla Filling

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth and thickened (about 2 minutes).
  2. Fold in the whipped topping gently until fully combined. Set aside.

2. Assemble the Layers

  1. In a 9×13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of the vanilla filling on the bottom.
  2. Add a single layer of graham crackers over the filling, breaking crackers as needed to fit.
