Ingredients

  • 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 beef steaks (sirloin, ribeye, or filet mignon)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for shrimp)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for steaks)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken or beef broth
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (plus more for shrimp)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Directions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Take your beef steaks and season them well with salt and black pepper. Place the steaks in the hot skillet and sear them for about 3-4 minutes on each side for a medium-rare finish. Once cooked, take the steaks out of the skillet and let them rest on a plate.

  2. In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Sprinkle the shrimp with 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning and put them in the skillet. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Once cooked, remove the shrimp and set them aside.

  3. Next, add 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet and let it melt. Then, add the minced garlic and sauté it for about 1 minute until it smells great. Stir in another teaspoon of Cajun seasoning, the heavy cream, the broth, and the grated Parmesan cheese. Let the sauce simmer for about 3-5 minutes until it thickens up.

  4. Now, return the cooked shrimp to the skillet. Gently stir to coat the shrimp in the creamy sauce and warm them for about a minute.

  5. To serve, place each steak on a plate and generously spoon the creamy Cajun shrimp sauce over the top. Enjoy your delicious meal!
