Ground Beef and Pepper Stir-Fry Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil (or any cooking oil)
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
1 tablespoon honey (or brown sugar)
Fresh cilantro (optional, for garnish)
Lime wedges (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
Prepare the Vegetables:
Slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips, and mince the garlic.
Cook the Ground Beef:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula, and cook until browned and fully cooked through, about 6-7 minutes.
Add the Vegetables:
Once the beef is cooked, add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and garlic. Stir-fry for 5-6 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
Season the Stir-Fry:
Sprinkle the cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper over the beef and vegetables. Stir well to combine and coat the ingredients evenly.
Add Soy Sauce and Honey:
Pour in the soy sauce and honey, stirring to coat everything. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
Garnish and Serve:
Serve the stir-fry hot, garnished with fresh cilantro and lime wedges for a pop of freshness. This dish can be served on its own or with rice or tortillas for a complete meal.
