Cafeteria Noodles

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Noodles:

    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
    • Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until tender.
    • Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce:

    • In a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
    • Stir in the condensed cream of chicken soup and chicken broth, mixing until smooth.
    • Add the garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Stir well to combine.
  3. Combine Everything:

    • Add the cooked noodles to the sauce and mix well.
    • Let everything simmer for about 3–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the noodles absorb some of the sauce and everything is well-coated.
  4. Serve:

    • Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
    • Serve warm as a comforting main dish or a side to roasted chicken or turkey.
