Chocolate Pecan Ooey Gooey Butter Cake

Ingredients:
1 box chocolate cake mix
½ cup melted butter
3 large eggs (divided)
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
4 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
½ cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg. Press mixture into the bottom of the prepared dish to form a crust.
In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese with remaining eggs, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
Fold in chopped pecans and chocolate chips.
Pour cream cheese mixture over the crust layer and spread evenly.
Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is set but still slightly gooey in the center.
Notes:
For extra richness, add caramel or a sprinkle of sea salt on top after baking!
