Delicious Cobbler Pie

A cozy dessert with bubbling fruit and a buttery biscuit topping — rustic, simple, and irresistibly good!

Choose Your Fruit:

You can use fresh or frozen fruit. Popular choices include:

  • Peach Cobbler Pie

  • Berry Cobbler Pie (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)

  • Apple Cinnamon Cobbler

  • Or mix them for a Mixed Fruit Cobbler Pie!

Ingredients (for a 9-inch pie dish):

For the Filling:

  • 4 cups sliced fresh or frozen fruit (peaches, berries, etc.)

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to sweetness of fruit)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (or 2 tbsp flour, for thickening)

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional, especially for apple or peach)

For the Cobbler Topping:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/4 cup (4 tbsp) melted butter

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven:
Preheat to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch pie or baking dish.

2. Make the Filling:

  • In a bowl, toss fruit with sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and cinnamon.

  • Pour into the prepared dish.

3. Make the Topping:

  • In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  • Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla until just combined.

  • Spoon dollops of batter over the fruit — no need to spread, it will spread as it bakes.

4. Bake:

  • Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the fruit is bubbling around the edges.

5. Cool & Serve:

  • Let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. Best with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream!
