Garlic Butter Lobster Tails & Seared Scallops

A luxurious seafood dish featuring juicy lobster tails and perfectly seared scallops, all coated in a garlic butter sauce with a hint of lemon!

Ingredients:

For the Lobster Tails:

  • 2 lobster tails
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for serving

For the Seared Scallops:

  • ½ lb sea scallops, patted dry
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

1️⃣ Prepare the Lobster Tails

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) or set the broiler to high.
  • Using kitchen shears, cut the top shell of each lobster tail down the center, stopping at the tail. Gently pull the meat up and rest it on top of the shell.
  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Brush the mixture over the lobster meat.

2️⃣ Cook the Lobster

  • Broil Method: Place lobster tails on a baking sheet and broil for 8-10 minutes, basting with butter halfway through, until the meat is opaque and lightly golden.
  • Baked Method: Bake at 425°F for 12-15 minutes until cooked through.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

3️⃣ Sear the Scallops

  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season scallops with salt and pepper.
  • Once the pan is hot (butter should be sizzling), place scallops in a single layer without overcrowding.
  • Sear for 1½-2 minutes per side until a golden-brown crust forms. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  • In the last 30 seconds, add the remaining 1 tablespoon butter and minced garlic, spooning it over the scallops.

4️⃣ Serve & Enjoy

  • Plate the lobster tails and scallops together.
  • Drizzle any remaining garlic butter sauce over everything.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Pro Tips & Variations:

Want extra flavor? Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter.
