Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup mustard
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
4 slices of bread (for garlic toast)
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese (per sandwich)
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:

In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until onion is softened, about 3 minutes.

Stir in ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Spread butter on one side of each bread slice and place buttered side up on a baking sheet.

Toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

Spoon the sloppy joe mixture over half of the toasted bread slices.

Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top of the sloppy joe mixture.

Place the remaining toasted bread slices on top to make sandwiches.

Return to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
