World’s Best Butter Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 3/4 cup (90g) powdered sugar

  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • Optional: extra granulated sugar for sprinkling


Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, beat butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.

  3. Mix in vanilla extract until well combined.

  4. Add flour and salt slowly, mixing until a soft dough forms.

  5. Roll dough into small 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet.

  6. Gently flatten each ball with a fork or your fingers. (Optional: sprinkle a little granulated sugar on top.)
