Best American Goulash (One-Pot Classic)

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Salt & black pepper to taste

  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional for depth)

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

  • Fresh parsley for garnish


Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

  2. Stir in garlic, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt & pepper, and cook for 1 more minute.

  3. Add tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, and soy sauce. Bring to a gentle boil.

  4. Stir in uncooked macaroni. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes until pasta is tender.

  5. Optional: Stir in cheddar cheese just before serving for a cheesy twist.

  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!
