Cafeteria Noodles Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb spaghetti or egg noodles
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1-2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp chicken bouillon powder (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Optional: Cooked chicken or beef for a heartier version

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Noodles
    Boil noodles according to package directions, then drain and set aside.

  2. Sauté the Aromatics
    In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped onion. Sauté until fragrant and softened.

  3. Add the Flavor
    Stir in the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and chicken bouillon (if using). Mix well to combine.

  4. Toss the Noodles
    Add the cooked noodles to the pan and toss everything together until well coated. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Add Veggies (Optional)
    Stir in shredded carrots and sliced green onions for some color and crunch. Add any cooked chicken or beef if desired.

  6. Serve
    Plate up your cafeteria noodles and enjoy the comforting flavors!


Pro Tip:

Top with a drizzle of sesame oil or a sprinkle of sesame seeds for an extra punch of flavor.
